Takashi Murakami for Shu Uemura Limited Edition Makeup Collection

Shu Uemura has unveiled a new artist collaboration with renowned Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami, based on his upcoming animation series 6HP (Six Hearts Princess). Murakami has previously collaborated with Louis Vuitton and Issey Miyake, but this new collaboration sees him lending his unique illustrations to a limited-edition run of make-up palettes – as well as putting his own stamp on some of Shu Uemura’s hero products.

Focusing on the pink and black princess characters from the animation series, the illustrations also take on a Christmas theme, in keeping with their launch just in time for the gifting season.

Shu Uemura has previously collaborated with Karl Lagerfeld, Tsumori Chisato and Viktor & Rolf.

Available at Selfridges from October 10 and nationwide from November.
