The Miss Dior Exhibit at the Grand Palais in Paris

This Fall, Dior has dedicated an entire exhibit to Miss Dior, its emblematic fragrance.

In 1947 Christian Dior didn’t just present his first collection, thereby ushering in the era of the New Look, he also released Miss Dior, his first perfume. 66 years later and Dior has now taken over the Courbe Galerie of Paris’ Grand Palais to pay homage to the successful fragrance with a new exhibition titled “Esprit Dior, Miss Dior.” Alongside vintage photos, unique manuscripts and historical documents, visitors will discover original works of art inspired the cult perfume from 15 contributing female artists invited by Dior including Shirin Neshat, Joana Vasconcelos and Carole Benzaken. How better to celebrate the scent which, it can be argued, has become the fragrance of freedom?
