Ann Lin And Jessica Fong, Designers Who Are Really In Love With Italy

Instead of ‘East meets West’, in this case, let’s call it ‘When the Far East meets Italy’. Two jewelry stars – Ann Lin from Taiwan and Jessica Fong from Hong Kong – have both encountered Italy along their creative paths.

Ann Lin pays a lot of attention to balance and structure and traveled quite a bit during her studies dwelling also in our Country. She is influenced by ancient European architecture and is fond of Milan and La Scala. As a designer, she is fanatical about construction and creates jewels with abstract lines along with impressionistic colors.

The idea behind Jessica Fong’s designs is that the jewelry piece is the bearer of a message and a link with nature via symbols like the butterfly, the lotus and the unicorn. And it’s in paying homage to Mother Nature that the designer encountered Italy in the form of the artist Annalù Boretto. She has found that the butterfly perfectly exemplifies that concept of metamorphosis, that is inside her works.
