Last week at the Norton Museum of Art – in West Palm Beach, Florida – opened the retrospective exhibition of jeweler David Webb. His jewelry pieces were worn by the fifties and sixties movie stars and celebrities. Webb drew inspiration in classic jewelry turn of the XIX and XX centuries, of family ornaments and ruling dynasties eastern countries.
His work and friendship was appreciated by Jackie Onassis and Marjorie Reed Gordon, who regularly appeared in public with intricate brooch David Webb, decorating her classic jacket lapel . Not just one spectacular massive colorful necklace was bought in his boutique on Madison Avenue to Elizabeth Taylor by Michael Todd at first , and then Eddie Fisher.
Webb’s samples of pure American style in jewelery can be admired until April 13.
