Agent Provocateur’s Spring/Summer 2014 Look Book – Behind Closed Doors

Inspired by Stepford Wives and the idea of 1950’s housewives, Agent Provocateur‘s look book shows a woman that is a sexy girl in the bedroom and a lady on the street. The shoot, by Miles Aldridge, took place in a classic 50s style kitchen – pink curtains, pink kitchen accessories – a dreamy land where housewives are adding a sexy twist to everyday life, all that while cleaning up the place.

“Shooting with Agent Provocateur was like a childhood dream come true where I drop by unannounced on a school friend to find his mother home hovering the kitchen in just her lingerie” – says Aldridge.

According to creative director Sarah Shotton – “The campaign embodies my inspiration for the Spring Summer 2014, the pristine and glossy 1950’s housewife. I was interested in the irony behind the idea of the ‘Perfect’ woman, unfazed by the everyday pressures of life. Our campaign girl has it all, she’s a lady in the street and a wildcat in the bedroom and the collection mirrors her pretty perfection. It is a fantasy of silk and lace in the modern day world.

  1. Established by Joseph Corré (the son of legendary Vivienne Westwood and Sex Pistols’ ex-manager Malcolm McLaren) and Serena Rees. The aim was to create an availability of high quality designer lingerie with creative flair to stimulate and enchant both wearers and their partners. … I testify, they did it!
