Stephanie Seymour Poses With Her Sons for Harper’s Bazaar March 2014 Issue

Stephanie Seymour – a provocative and sexy woman – until you realise that the two guys in the photo shoot are her sons, Peter 20 years old and Harry Brant 17, – and then the spread is about Stephanie Seymour, 45 years old, a lusty and provocative MOM. She is gorgeous!

When they were little, they would lay out outfits for me,” Seymour told Harper’s Bazaar. “I’d wake up at 7:30 A.M. and they would have laid out a 1955 vintage Dior couture gown and all the accessories too. They liked things to be monochromatic: The dress would be blue and the bag would be blue, and blue Manolo Blahnik shoes. Always a Manolo, and never a flat.”

I love the theming and she looks spectacular but must she pose in such a provocative way when the two males are her own sons? I love daring bold stunts and unorthodoxed thinking just as much as the next fashionista but I do not feel comfortable with a mother hanging on her son as if he were Brad Pitt circa 1998. It looks as though they have a Norman Bates mother complex in numerous shots especially the last image. All in all, it would have been a phenomenal spread IF they had chosen other male models. Crucify me for my heresy against Harper’s but this was a bad idea from the start.

Stephanie Seymour was my favorite supermodel growing up, she looks amazing here. Though a little odd about the provocative posing with her sons.
