Bibi van der Velden Stunning “Mammoth Collection”

Jewelry designer Bibi van der Velden, graduate of Academy of Arts of Hague, Amsterdam and Florence, presents her new mammoth ivory-fossil line – The Mammoth Collection. It is not the first season that jewellers use it as material to create the most stunning pieces of luxury – framed in gold or silver, decorated with tiny diamonds, emeralds and pearls she reproduces miniature sculptures of prehistoric animals, as well as the material they are made of – 40,000 year old woolly mammoth tusk discovered under the permafrost in Siberia. This season, Bibi van der Velden’s dragons, crocodiles and serpents appeared in the range of the New York department store, Bergdorf Goodman and Dover Street Market, and in early July, they will be sold on Net-a-Porter. Some of pieces are available to purchase also directly on the designer’s site BibiVanDerVelden.com and due to their unique material they make each piece made to order.
