It’s the second time around that the French fashion house, Maison Martin Margiela, collaborates with the cult sneaker label, Converse. The revisited models are the classic All Star Chuck ’70 and Jack Purcell, only unlike last time, Maison Martin Margiela’s Spring/Summer 2014 Converse are made of leather, and not textile. The shoes are covered with French house’s signature Blanc de Meudon paint, which will gradually wear off, revealing the colour underneath – bright blue or red for Jack Purcell model, pale yellow and dark blue for All Star Chuck ’70. Available starting May 23 in New York’s Converse stores in Soho, as well as in San Francisco and Santa Monica, and in the Maison Martin Margiela stores worldwide.
