The couple planned a very intimate ceremony with just the family members and closed friends, that took place in a park in Bedford, New York. “We really wanted to keep this beautiful day very private and special to us and enjoyed the whole day with our family and two friends. Bedford is such an amazing and romantic countryside.”

Ever since the news of the wedding a lot of speculations about the socialite’s wedding dress were made – Olivia chose a different dress than most brides would pick – a Carolina Herrera design, made of a short tulle gown, a cashmere sweater and a pair of delicate shorts. The dress was completed by a pair of Manolo shoes, the exact pair that Carrie Bradshaw wore at her civil wedding with Mr. Big, in Sex and The City, the movie – she did not buy them especially for the occasion, but they are amongst Olivia’s favourite, and, it turned out to be also her “something blue“.
