‘Boulevard Chanel‘ – we are in love with street style and this is what Karl Lagerfeld had in mind for next year – a beautiful street in Paris, taken by exuberant psychedelic splotches of watercolor shading everything from coat linings to boots. And what’s a street without a protest? For his finale, Lagerfeld staged a mock demonstration complete with banners that read “Tweed is better than tweet”, “Be your own stylist”, “Make fashion not war”, “Free freedom”, and “Ladies first”, with Cara and Gisele on quilted Chanel megaphones screaming, “What do we want! When do we want it?”
About his new RTW Spring/Summer 2015 Lagerfeld said, “They’re all pieces everyone can play with. No ’60s, no ’70s, no whatever, more mode de vie than mode.” Check the selection below!
