Karl Lagerfeld‘s new short film is entitled Reincarnation, and is a musical inspired by the history of the Chanel iconic jacket. The designer imagined an episode from the life of Gabrielle Chanel, embodied in the seven minute film by Geraldine Chaplin, in the suburbs of Salzburg back in 1954. At the hotel she meets a young lift boy played by Pharell Williams, wearing a jacket that later on will become the Chanel icon.
On the other side we have Cara Delevingne as princess Sissi, when Franz Xaver Winterhalter paintings come to life ( Pharell as the emperor of Austria) to interpret Karl’s vision.
The video will feature a new song written by Pharrell, and Cara sings too – yes, a Pharrell and Cara duet! The name of the track is CC the World and Cara has been busy Instagramming pictures from the video shoot – obviously excited about the big reveal.
About Pharell Lagerfeld said to WWD : “He was easy to work with, very pleasant. He’s very professional.“
“None of this would have been possible without Pharrell Williams, Cara Delevingne and Geraldine Chaplin. It’s the perfect cast. Pharrell is a genius and Geraldine at her best in the role of Gabrielle Chanel in the year of her comeback”, the designer added.

Reblogged this on Style & Fashion.
That was such a beautiful film! I didn’t like the “si si” bit it broke the music up but I do like the storyline. May I (with your permission) reblog this please?
