Dior‘s new collection is as magical as expected – the show took place at Le Palais Bulles, Pierre Cardin‘s property ( at 92 years old he was a special front row guest), a modern estate on the Fench riviera, in an atmosphere that Raf Simons describes as “Playful, sweet…childish.” “The house is big but intimate, and it doesn’t behave like an authority,” he continued. “And Dior can do that sometimes, especially if you look at it from an architectural point of view.”
The Dior heritage was evoked throughout the show – the footwear sends us back to the days when Roger Vivier was at the helm of it – we see Vivier’s iconic low heeled pointed pumps, interpreted by the designer in printed satin, a motif done in different variations.
Nice! Very nice!
