Marchesi was founded in 1824 and is one of the most famous commercial activity in Milan. Situated in a historic building, the layout of which had not been changed, Prada, the majority shareholder, would have paid 8 million euro for it. The project was created by architect Roberto Bacciocchi, who built it around the main element of any pastry – sweets.
How closely Miuccia Prada followed the implementation of the project can be seen in every detail: chairs in the style of the sixties, silk wallpaper with jacquard patterns similar to Miu Miu prints, the 120 square meters of shop is covered in dark brown marble, with marble counter and shelves in cherry wood and glass, a large mirror and of course the benches where a triumph.
The new bakery of via Montenapoleone will offer two new formulas for a cream with dark chocolate and hazelnuts without sugar, all the desserts being prepared daily on the spot. Cakes, pralines, biscuits and croissants – all served the Prada way! Sweeeeeeeet!
