Lady Arpels Planétarium watch

Van Cleef & Arpels started its cosmic journey in 2014 with the very first Midnight Planetarium watch. A never-ending journey that is constantly expanding its limits- if there are any- always connected in the most sublime symbiosis with all the elements that make it what it is, moving slowly but in such a precise motion, a motion whose flow we call TIME. The entire Cosmos reasting peacefully on your wrist, while Mercury, embodied by a pink mother-of-pearl, orbitates elgantly with Venus in green enamel, the Earth in turquoise,a beautiful diamond Moon and a golden Sun. The planets dancing together amongs the stars, entraped in a white gold case and embelished by a blue aligator strap.

It’s a Limited Edition and precious materials make out of Lady Arpels an aristocratic figure amongs watches but Planetarium is not just another beautiful watch, it is also highly complicated – it displays the different phases of each planet as they rotate around the sun at their actual speeds, with Mercury orbiting the dial in 88 days, Venus in 224 days, Earth in 365 days, and the Moon rotating in 29.5 days. The original movement for the Midnight Planetarium was designed by Christiaan van der Klaauw, leading Astrological watchmaker, and it took two-and-a-half years to develop the module.
