Role Models – The New Barbie Doll Is All About “Inspiring Women”

“Inspiring Women” Barbie Doll New Collection

There are lots of moms out there who didn’t buy any Barbie doll for their daughters and that is simply because of the stereotype of the doll itself , because of being worried about what their daughters will want to be like – according to a Mattel research – so, the company decided to bring to front women who inspired generations, legendary women who left a deep mark in the world and didn’t pass unnoticed, one for her divine talent – Frida Khalo, another for dreaming bold and being a pioneer in aeronautics and hired by NASA – Katherine Johnson, first female pilot who ever flew over the Atlantic Ocean – Amelia Earhart or football player – Sara Gama.  Empowering women making out of Barbie more than just a doll, designed to inspire and motivate the younger generations!

Girls have always been able to play out different roles and careers with Barbie and we are thrilled to shine a light on real-life role models to remind them that they can be anything,” senior vice president and general manager of Barbie, Lisa McKnight, said in a news release.

This is absolutely fantastic! A great idea! I’m happy to see that Amelia is getting one of herself.
