Gisele Is The New Chanel №5 Woman

Gisele Bundchen is the Chanel woman now, starring in the new Chanel №5 mini-movie which tells the story of a strong woman who found love and fulfilment.

It is no secret that the history of any fragrance is not just a bunch of dates, names and ingredients. Creating a perfume, the perfumers  have in mind the woman who will wear it, because fragrance, just like music, sets the mood and drags from the memory a number of associations, it is the finishing touch to an image. Chanel №5 – the most popular perfume of the loudest fashion brand, reissued countless times over the last ninety-four years, has become a classic, and women of several generations associate themselves with this flavour.

The new mini-movie Chanel №5, shot by Baz Luhrmann, talks about today’s heroine. This woman finds time to go surfing alone, and to kiss her beloved daughter. She is not young, and that is what makes it so beautiful. Chanel №5 heroine works, but not going to give up love – and finds it. Gisele Bundchen has been chosen for the lead role and the choice is not random – the Brazilian top model is a happy mother, a lovely wife, and works a lot too.

“What is the difference between the Chanel woman then and now?” the director said to Vogue. “In a way Gisele became the script. I knew her when she was quite young and starting out, and she’s evolved so much in both her life and work.   The film reflects that -this woman has a child, a real job and then she has this relationship. Gisele is the Chanel woman now.” She is, indeed!
